Honest notes from a working engineer on what actually compounds.
Dari Bandung, untuk kamu yang peduli.
What this is
Honest notes from someone still doing the work — about the parts of the craft that compound, the ones that break under pressure, and what I'm trying to figure out along the way.
What we cover
- The craft of engineering — reliability, judgment, taste
- What compounds as tools and stacks keep changing
- What I'm actually shipping, and what I'm learning from it
What we don't
- AI predictions I'm not qualified to make
- Hot takes on whatever launched this week
About Arif
I'm Arif Nurdiansyah. I've spent the last decade building and writing about software — most recently at Aegis. This site is where I write honestly about what that work is actually like — the parts of the craft that compound, the ones that break under pressure, and what I'm still trying to figure out (AI included).
I write from Bandung, which means the takes here don't come out of Palo Alto or London. That's on purpose.
If AI is going to rewire how we work, someone ought to keep a steady eye on what's actually changing — week by week, without the hysterics.
